The 23rd National Council Session of the Baloch Students Organization in defense of the motherland in memory of Mir Abdul Aziz Kurd, Sher Mohammad, and martyr Hamid Shahin concluded successfully on 2nd and 3rd March at Shall ( Quetta ). The Council session was chaired by Chairman Changez Baloch, while the session proceedings were conducted by Central Secretary-General Aurangzaib Baloch. Discussions during the session included regional and international perspectives, organizational matters, and setting agendas for the future. The session began with two minutes of silence in memory of the martyrs of Balochistan and the Baloch national anthem, sung by Saadat Basir Baloch. The discussion at the Council session started with the opening address by the Central Chairman, who also acknowledged the preparations made by the host zone. Congratulations were extended to the companions of BSO on the successful organization of the session.Chairman Changez Baloch stated that despite numerous challenges and obstacles, we have successfully organized the Council session today, which in itself holds historical significance. Despite continuous political repression in Balochistan, we have remained steadfast in working with revolutionary zeal and continuously moving forward. This endeavor will be a part of our national memory as a proud chapter in the history of the oppressed nation of Balochistan.Balochistan is currently experiencing a wave of forced disappearances with increasing intensity and frequency, despite both public and undisclosed political restrictions. You and all your colleagues have not only remained connected to revolutionary politics, but have also fulfilled national responsibilities with strength. By facing all difficulties and restrictions head-on, you have endured this journey, overcoming defeat and despair to this extent. The formation of the BSO is the establishment of a revolutionary organization that revolves around stable social realities based on scientific principles, exploring the study and observations of tangible material causes, and opening up new discourses by assessing contemporary situations for decades.Even today, it is crucial to pay special attention to the process of cadreship, understanding the delicacy of current circumstances among BSO’s youth, so that control over situations can be possible in the future.Following this, the formal start of the first agenda of the session was presented by Secretary General Aurangzaib Baloch, who presented the Secretary Report. After a detailed and comprehensive report on organizational performance, the agenda was formally opened for criticism, suggestions, and debate, and suggestions were taken to further improve the Secretary Report. The Secretary Report presented a detailed review of organizational performance and included a discussion on national politics and social quality in the context of international conditions. Scientific methods were employed to advance organizational work in different circumstances, achieving all objectives successfully. This included seminars on the role of students in the Baloch National Movement, free education and student demonstrations on various issues, condolence references on the occasion of the first death anniversary of organizational colleague Hani Baloch, the establishment of cadre-based regional schools and a national school, leadership of student movements, the founding day of the BSO, participation in movements, book stalls, educational study circles, publication of the organizational magazine, and other important events to promote organizational work and propaganda.Counselors discussed important points on the Secretary Report and further developed the discussion, strengthening the organizational statement. Various practical measures were discussed regarding the establishment and organization of the BSO as a cadre-building institution.Afterward, during the second session, while discussing national and international perspectives, it was stated that the global capitalist system is currently in severe decline and its structures are not stable anywhere in the world. Great powers that used to champion global capitalism are now embroiled in internal conflicts due to inter-state rivalry. The champions of global capitalism, who once dominated landlords around the world, are now unable to overcome their internal conflicts. Their economic decline has given rise to political instability, where the aftermath of colonialism’s defeat is visible in various regions today. In this scenario, the third world is in the greatest danger and even a small incident can exacerbate it. An example of this is Ethiopia, where complex political and military activities highlight multiple significant advances and challenges facing Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government. Another example is Myanmar, where escalating conflicts and rebel actions by various resistance groups pose a significant threat to power, seized by the military almost three years ago, for the people. The conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh between Armenia and Azerbaijan is part of the same series, with direct and indirect effects that will also impact Balochistan, leading to further destruction. As the discussion progressed, contributions were made on political and social conditions, stating that China is emerging as a global superpower and is adopting new economic policies to control its internal conflicts by seizing other oppressed nationalities and their resources. It was argued that while America had expanded its power to other regions, China has taken on an imperialistic role to support itself, which instead of benefiting condemned nations, will also take the last morsel from their mouths. Imperial aggression in Balochistan has made the people of Balochistan dependent on bread crumbs. The demand for rights movement in Gwadar and the public outrage against the longstanding issues of the martyr Balach across Balochistan indicate a growing resentment against complex issues, with the movement finding its own way and strengthening its capabilities.Further advancing the discussion, it was mentioned that administrative restrictions on student unions and weakening student politics are further exacerbating the restlessness of students, who will soon seek their own path, necessitating strong student power to build strength and adapt to current circumstances, leading the student movement to its logical conclusion. On the second day, the agenda of organizational matters was opened for discussion. The importance and benefits of the organization were discussed in detail, shedding light on the historical ups and downs of the organization and its strengths and weaknesses. A critical review of actions was taken in relation to crossing objectives, and new strategies were formulated. In addition, detailed discussions were held on finance, publicity and dissemination, criticism for construction, and laws and regulations, and practical wisdom was arranged. After which Chairman Changiz Baloch congratulated all councilors on the successful council session and commended them for standing strong in difficult times in his closing speech. With permission from the organization, he urged the members to remain connected to the principles and not to shy away from any sacrifices to reach their rightful positions. The agenda for future action included the establishment of an Election Commission, with Chairman Changiz Baloch appointed as the head of the commission, while Secretary General Aurangzaib Baloch and Secretary Information Fareed Mengal became part of the Election Commission. For the new cabinet of the organization, councilors submitted their nominations for the positions in the central cabinet and central committee. Accordingly, Chairman Jeand Baloch, Senior Vice Chairman SherBaz Baloch, Junior Vice Chairman Naseer Baloch, Secretary General Haseeb Baloch, Senior Joint Secretary Asif Noor Baloch, Junior Joint Secretary Sudheer Baloch, and Secretary Information Sohail Baloch were elected unopposed. Additionally, eight councilors applied for the eight positions in the central committee, with Waheed Anjum, Usman Baloch, Rukhsar Baloch, Siraj Baloch, Zahoor Baloch, Nadim Baloch, Fareed Baloch, and Bilal Baloch elected unopposed. The formal conclusion of the closed session after the elections was accompanied by slogans of BSO and revolution.
